Fast and Sustainable
Fast setup, no up-front tooling or dies, quick turnaround, superior brightness, limitless color possibilities, efficient for both short and long print runs, registration control, in-line and in-house — need we say more?
With a wide range of metallic effects, ITW Cold Foils provide an even broader portfolio of finishing options. In addition to our CFS Series for offset printing, there is the CFR Series for rotary which was specifically formulated for the thru-cure wet lamination process. One of its key advantages is its ability to be flexo, screen and offset overprinted by both UV and conventional inks.
Large Format Offset Printing
A free releasing foil designed for the sheet-fed cold offset foil transfer system, which combines high definition with the ability to cover very large areas, making it suitable as a replacement for film or foil laminated board in many applications.Characteristics
- • Easy release allowing separation from the stock without snatching
- • Good clean definition in fine detail applications
- • Good large area coverage
- • Excellent adhesion to offset cold foil adhesives
- • High abrasion and scratch resistance
- • Over printable with most types of printing ink.
CFS is normally applied using offset printing lines such as KBA,
Man Roland and Heidelberg. The foil offers fine to broad area coverage
suitable for use with substrates such as coated papers, PE, both smooth
and coated card.

Roll to Roll Cold Foiling
A free releasing, clean cutting foil designed for narrow web cold foiling. In this process the image is first printed onto the specific substrate using a UV activated adhesive. The foil is then applied to the design through a nip point then cured with UV light prior to release.
The foil has excellent release characteristics but maintains a high degree of definition and cleanliness.
The foil is suitable for rotary cold foiling applications with flexo and offset adhesives supplied by XSYS Print Solutions, Huber,
Zeller + Gmelin, Jänecke+Schneemann to name a few.
The foil has been successfully applied using narrow web printing lines such as supplied by Focus, Gallus, Gidue, Nilpeter, Mark Andy, MPS and Rotatek.
Common substrates used are PP, PE, PET and papers which have non-absorbent surfaces.Characteristics
- • Easy release
- • Fine detail to medium area coverage
- • Good adhesion after cure
- • Good abrasion and scratch resistance
- • High transparency to UV light
- • High gloss and excellent over-printability with both UV and conventional inks
